James Blahunka, M.D.

Joined ROI in 2001. Dr. Blahunka received his B.S. in Biochemistry, graduating with Honors, from Indiana University and his medical degree in 1996 from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 2000 and a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine in 2001, both at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Blahunka is certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Indiana Radiological Society, Society of Nuclear Medicine to membership list, and the Indianapolis Medical Society.

He actively participates in hospital partner tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics. Has a special interest in PET/CT scanning, diagnostic nuclear medicine, and radioiodine thyroid therapies.
